Tasting notes

Dense, full and spicy, this dark coloured wine shows vivid, intense, structured red and black fruits with a chocolatey, spicy edge. Well integrated acidity in the body of the wine, that together with retronasal aroma reveal a long and persistent finish.

Winemaking

Grapes are de-stemmed and fermentation takes place in traditional shallow, open marble troughs known as lagares, where the grapes are foot trodden. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in second year barrels.

12 months in new American oak half barrels
